Best shoes for driving?

What do you guys/girls wear when driving your car? Preferably a manual. I just use these DC skate shoes, since they're flat and light. Is there really a difference between different shoes?

I wear anything. Usually just Nikes

I prefer no shoes.

Unless you're trying to heal toe shift. In that case some beefier footwear like some work boots make it easier, for me at least.

Proper fitting and narrow runners for daily, but for canyon runs and track days, ALPINESTARS all day long.

Never really got use to my Piloti's. They just sit in my closet.

Pretty much anything with adidas, vans, nike freeruns that has thin soles so youll feel the pedals better. If you switch to say basketball shoes, nike flights in particular, from thin soles they change the way you moducate the clutch and throttle. I wore dc's back when i used to skate and i remember them that the sole felt just the same as adidas, any skate shoe or thin sole can do.
