I have questions regarding the IE 450T; is it 450 crank horsepower or 450 wheel horse power?
Which EFR turbo are you using in this kit? is it EFR6258 or EFR6758?
Also, what if I want the same kit but with EFR7064 or EFR7670?

Good questions!
450 refers to engine power (BHP). The 450 is a rough number, the final kit could very well be more than that based on the safety of the stock internals. This is a turn key bolt-in turbo kit, we are not looking to throw rods through customers block on a bolt in solution kit so the software will limit the kit to a safe power/torque level for stock internals. For customers who are running built motors or short blocks, we will have software updates available for even higher power numbers, however some fueling limitations will have to be solved first.

We are still testing a few different turbo options right now, we are looking at more than just peak numbers. We are looking at the best combination of spool time, power/torque onset, and peak performance. This kit is more than just big numbers, we want it to perform well when you are getting groceries, passing a car on the freeway, driving up a hill, or when you are pitted against a large displacement engine or smaller fast spooling turbos in a race scenario. For those that are just looking for track only race cars, we may have a program for larger turbo upgrades available in the future as well.

First look at the new features being worked into our new IE Software Pro Series tunes. IE Stage 2 Pro and IE Stage 2 Manifold Pro tunes include launch control and no lift shifting for the MK6 Golf R. These will be available on our website any day now!

This is the first look at our soon to be released software files for the MK6 R. Both the Stage 2 Pro and Stage 2 Pro IM (designed for our intake manifold) files will also include our Launch control and no lift shift features.

With the pre-set 4500rpm launch control, boost is built before launching, allowing you to leave the line with an intense surge of power without the worry of bogging. The pre-load boost is user adjustable depending on the pressure applied to the throttle pedal. The no-lift shift features keeps the turbo spooled between gears when shifting, eliminating the need for it to re-spool for each gear, making for quicker ETs and lightning fast shifts. This is only activated on shifts above 5500rpm, so it is not accidentally tripped when casually driving.

I will have a full product description up on our website with more info, dyno graphs, pricing and video here soon.

I posted an update to our IE450T development page, this is likely one of the last updates you will see before the IE450T kit is officially ready. Get the latest HERE.

Another update for you guys. The kits are being packed and verified as we speak. We are lining up a local stock Golf R to fully install the kit on from scratch and build all of our install data and finalize every single kit component one piece at a time on a stock non modified car.
Furthermore, our stock block software has been finalized and completed. We road tested it for over a year daily with two 2500+ mile road trips through high elevation, sea level, freezing temps, desert scorching heat, high humidity, and dry climate conditions as well as countless dyno time and all out assault on a demanding race track. Everything performed incredible, with nothing but pure reliable strong performance. With that done, our development car is now receiving a fully built IE engine so we can write our built engine internal files for those customers looking to get the most possible performance available. The turbo kits with stock block software are very, very close to hitting market now.

"The kits are being packed and verified as we speak"

The pictures of the kit do not look like they would take 3 weeks to pack, what happened did the shipping boxes not fit?

Ha, no the boxes are fine. We are verifying fitment of every single component on multiple chassis right now on customer cars. By installing kits on multiple cars at our facility, we are able to confirm fitment of each and every component before we begin shipping them around the world. We are also able to confirm installation procedures and create installation documentation to accompany the kits.

Any idea when you will be ready to ship and how far behind is the MK6 TSI ?
