Yes, Neuspeed wheels are specially made for our cars. The VW caps fit right in and the offsets and sizing is perfect for our cars.

I would recommend the the Hyper Black finish for your CG. They aren't actually black and would be a really nice contrast. Check out the vendor wheel section of the forum for info and pics.

Regarding the tail lights. I would purchase either the OEM lights or Ziza brand from ECS Tuning. Neither of these options have condensation issues and the Zizas fit is pretty spot on.

Oh, and thanks for the compliments!

Hyper Black is apparently lighter than Gunmetal? Weird. Now I'm kind of tempted. How did it feel to switch from Detroits to that Neuspeed set? I know Detroits are heavy, but I actually really like them. Just wondering how much a difference you feel with the lighter weight.

Going from 30.5 lbs to 19lbs on all corners was noticeable. That's a significant amount of weight. I wouldnt call it a drastic difference, but every chance you get to shave weight (and improve the look to boot!) is a no-brainer in my book. The Hyper Blacks are lighter than GunMetal, yes. I know, I know, that doesn't make much sense. The HB Neuspeed wheels are almost impossible to accurately show in a picture, because they look different in all sorts of lighting. They are an awesome finish.

After talking around town to other enthusiast and seeing their Audis and Dubs, I decided to go with GIAC/AWE for this car from this point forward. The feedback from the owners was awesome and the shop was very knowledgeable ex-VW techs.

With that said, I purchased this! AWE CCB intake. Waiting on the little breather filter to show up before installing. This thing is too awesome to not mockup and take a picture though.

Great looking intake for sure. Makes me want to remove the carbonio.

Installed seat handle inlays. Subtle mods are my favorite. Also got a new 16-35 2.8 lens to shoot with.

Installed the AWE CCB intake!

The Good:

No CEL. It looks amazing and stock+.

Fitment of this intake is awesome. The only thing that requires modification is moving the MAF. I'm not sure why people said this was difficult. My guess is they themselves dont have the intake nor installed one. It literally took 5 minutes to relocate.

The airbox sits flush with the inlet from behind the bumper/grille. The intake is pretty quiet, which is what I was after. Turbo spool is much more audible.

Air readings on the P3Gauge are over 12-15 degrees cooler. I did multiple test and logged numbers in above 90 degree weather with the stock intake.

Stock: 91 degrees at sea level = avg intake temp of 142-48 degrees.

AWE: 93 degrees at sea level = avg intake temp of 121-137 degrees.

The not bad, but I'm not use to it:

It "feels" like it takes more effort to build boost with the intake. This could be a number of things, including my P3Gauge not reading exactly the same due to the new MAF location or the intake. Not sure. Could also be a small leak, which I will spend some time trying to track down this week.

The other thing is on a cold start, the breather filter is LOUD! It subsides after 10 seconds and does not do this when the engine is warm, but jeeze, I do not like the sound on cold starts.

I'll update the thread with more on this intake as I get more drive time with it.

Man I have such a similar path planned for my car. Also white. Got the Laguna wheels though and love them, so I'm going to stick with those. They look similar to yours actually. Definitely removing my pin stripe. Wasn't 100% sure but your car sealed the deal. And low will be the next mod instead of stage 2. Glad you made this thread. Very good looking car.

Our cars look similar, ish. I also have a white 2012 4-door with gunmetal RSE12s and LED tails. Wish mine was as low as yours though, I'm on DG springs and lookswise, the drop just isn't enough.

Where did the maf get relocated to?

As for the cbfa cold starts with a breather filter. Yeah it's pretty damn loud lol. My wife's GLI has apr intake and sounds like a truck for few seconds.

Sent from my iSuperior, expect typos, mathematical errors and inaccuracy.
