I was hanging with Patrick (Steelcurtain) last night, and got a call from a few friends that were going out for some late night runs in mexico...

We figured we'd join them. I rode in Patrick's GTI.

This is patrick's APR stage 3+ GTI vs a 335i with the N54 motor, had intakes, downpipes, fmic, and cobb OTS tune. N54 has amazing pickup and instant acceleration!! Really takes off very quickly off the honks.

This was 35-130mph. Patrick has exactly one car length on the 335 when we shut it down.

Then, got a short run in with my buddies c5 zo6 with intake, headers/straightpipes, and tune. makes 390whp/393wtq. Patrick was at 3000rpm in third gear, vette was in 2nd gear (misunderstanding) causing the vette to get the jump. Patrick stuck right there with him though. Would like to see this race again sometime soon.

Did you read any of what I wrote? Patrick was at 3000 rpm when they honked it off. His turbo didnt even spool until the zo6 had a car length on him. Then patrick let off due to traffic up ahead.

If patrick was at 3500-4000rpm and the roll was a higher MPH, it woulda been a different race.

I guess cuz im k04 aka BT (baby turbo) i start my roll races at 3k :laugh:

Nice runs, he's definitely gaining on the zo6 at 0:23. I'd like to see the outcome of a clean race

Different Dyno's... So.. 10whp really doesnt mean jack. They could both make 395whp for all we know.
