just after posting I found on CARID the mixing specs. and results for freezing, boiling temps. etc. You can mix up to 70% G40 with distilled water for the best results.

That's good performance for harsh winter conditions. If you live in milder climates, closer to 50/50 is best for all-round performance for the whole year. If you're tracking the car, you'll want more water than antifreeze, on the order of 60/40 or even 65/35.
