Need VAGCOM help!

Vehicle: 2013 Golf R Base model

Symptoms: flashing slip, ABS and TCS. Constant on: brake, TCS, and steering.

Car drives perfectly. However, my adaptive steering is not working and I doubt my ABS is either.


I tired to recode the ABS but it won't register a new long code. It indicates: "out of range".

I used to have the procedure in my messages before the forum switched over. I will continue to search, someone told me how to do it.
It's basically, use your original coding, adaption, drive the car, turn it off. Coding should stick.

That's for the Golf R. I think the procedure is a little different if you are replacing the whole pump.

This sounds a bit familiar to me, and it happens to the R often. The culprit was the ABS wheel speed sensors. All the lights flashing that you describe are the same thing that happens.

Service center always said its because the vehicle is not driven enough. Im not saying that is exactly your issue, however it sounds very familiar to the issue that has been encountered before. So far ABS sensors have been changed about 3 or 4 times within the last 5 years.

Thankfully they are cheap otherwise I would be super annoyed with it. I brought it up before you go on and do more work than necessary just in case. Hope that helps.

Before you post symptoms what was done to car. Don’t code any module because of fault. Coding is only required when module are replaced. #dontfrycontrolmodules
