    OEM DSG Cooler Upgrade

Yes, but I don't recall how much exactly. If you follow the OEM procedure you'll be draining excess fluid out when fluid temps hit 35 degrees c which is supposed to give you the correct fluid level.

Thank you. You're right. I researched, took a calculated risk, bought a different product the 2nd time around, and installed it correctly myself. Choosing the iAbed over the OEM seal was like choosing to get kicked in the nuts versus being punched in the face. Had the 034 version for the TSI...

There you go with those assumptions again.... You know what they say about the word assume... For the record I've had both the TSI and FSI version. The FSI version had such bad machining on the back I ditched it and went OEM (car was stock anyway). I'd say that qualifies me. How about you?

    PSA: RMS + PCV

Huh? You've missed the whole point. My issue (along with many others) has always been how failures of the product were addressed by iAbed. There is nothing wrong with the product. But to openly blame install or user error by default while not including any kind of reference to the seal install...

    PSA: RMS + PCV

So you would rather risk the time/money spent pulling the trans and putting it back in only to install a spring loaded rear main seal without using the $18 tool that VW recommends? Do you get more street cred by doing it this way or something? Or do you look like a hack if it leaks? I may...

    Oil Baffle plate???

Yikes. Thats not good. It kinda looks like a cam follower in some pictures but not in others. There have been instances where people have money shifted their car (1st-2nd-1st again) and this causes the valve train to overrev and cam followers let go. That will cause CEL and misfire codes. I...

    PSA: RMS + PCV

While this is definitely true, I had a major issue with how these "installation errors" were handled by iabed. There was/is nothing included with these units besides the seal and the machined bit. No install instructions, warnings. Just the seal in a box and the machined seal housing in a...

    Water Pump Question

You may want to check if your CBFA engine code has the extra sensor on the water pump. If it does than you are limited to plastic housing pumps. If you reference my post here a few years back I tried to make an Aluminum pump work on my 2010 GTI w CBFA engine code which does have the extra sensor...

    OEM DSG Cooler Upgrade

I added 5/8 inch nylon spacers on the bottom of the battery tray to get it to clear the coolant outlets but otherwise it works great. I don't data log so I can't give any objective criteria for how much this improved temperature control. I've got about 35k on this without any issues. Done a few...

CTS Turbo insert, how is it?

What is 034 guilty of? I've not heard of them being anywhere near as bad as CTS. I've also had really positive experiences with their products and support.

    WMI vs AUX fuel (stratified)

Just throwing this out there..... I'm pretty sure the Stratified Xtra Fuel system uses a boost-referenced Split Second Injector controller which can be configured/wired to run multiple injectors. You can spec the IE intake manifold to run a second set of injectors which would address the uneven...

    MK6 GTI boost drop issue

^ I had a somewhat similar experience with the IE K04 tune. I thought it was hardware or a boost leak, I threw parts at it until finally switching tunes to APR and the issue went away. Its too bad because when the IE tune was working in the beginning, it was better in my opinion. Had more low...

    MK6 GTI boost drop issue

Nothing is really standing out to me but what is clear is that the WGDC drops from 75% to 2% at about 3100rpm. This is commanded by the ECU so I would check with your tuner if they have any thoughts. The drop from the low 90% to 66% just 300 rpm prior also looks a bit funky.
