If it's just a leak they won't replace it just cut it out and reset it. There is nothing wrong with the glass. The blob could just be cut off with a razor blade. Have you removed the pillar and done a leak test to make sure it's the window and not the sunroof drain?

It's just a single stage underhood color. No clearcoat means no uv protection, so when the sunlight gets through the fender/hood gap it causes the paint to deteriorate. Car companies do this to save money.

You might have a pinched wire or a short somewhere, check all your wires.

The igniter connects to the back of the bulb, the ballast is on the underside of the headlight, they are not the same part.
