My situation is a little different. The car shuts down entirely, sorry for any confusion. By loss of power, I don't mean it was sluggish for a bit, I mean the car is completely dead in the water.

Hello, I have a 2011 Golf GTI and recently have noticed in order for the car to hold in my driveway I must pull the handbrake up all the way, whereas previously it would hold around 4 or 5 clicks. Any information on how to adjust the handbrake tension would be very helpful. Thanks!
