How do you know if you have an oe air pump. trying to buy a cold air intake and not sure if i have an air pump or not. New to this

Is it ok to use octane booster on a daily driver its a 2012 VW gti I use 91 gas that's all we have here

Can any one help me??? I am looking for some HID lights for my car local shops tell me there is none for my car yet then I go to another shop and they tell me there is but with a little mod work is there any bolt on hid lights for my car. Any info will help
