    Electrics wont start

Hi All, So I had a blown left headlight hid on my mk6r so tried to change it the incorrect way past the fuse box. Disconnected the battery when diagnosing but not when the replacement arrived. Touched the hid on the fuse box when going back in which sparked on contact. Now getting christmas...

DSG changed driving mode by itself

Update on this. I had it serviced by a vw specialist soon after. There we no codes and it has been flawless since. It was suggested it could have been related to a "glitch" in the paddles or possibly mech.

DSG changed driving mode by itself

I’ll have it checked out and update. However unlikely I’d like to say I hit the down paddle without realising.

DSG changed driving mode by itself

Hi, I had an issue with the DSG changing from 2nd in drive to 2 in manual by itself this morning. Moved the shifter to manual and back to drive and drove for 20 minutes without further issues. I’d been driving from cold start for about 1-2 minutes. Never had any unusual behaviour in the past...

Thanks for that. I've ordered an INA kit. Most speak well of INA and there are indications INA could be the OE supplier.

MK6 R Cam follower, lobe, pump assessment

Thanks for the reply Thumper. I'm looking to go stage 2 ECU/TCU within the next few months. Will pull the follower prior to see how it looks and go from there. Will take images of the lobe and update. Considering an order through FCPEuro for a follower kit. In terms of fit/wear, do people...

MK6 R Cam follower, lobe, pump assessment

Thanks for the reply. I was expecting some wear on the follower. The coating has something left on the edges which appears consistent with "stage 2" wear. Do they usually wear on the inside pump contact point? Somewhat concerned about the cam lobe. Would it help to have a pic of the flat side...

MK6 R Cam follower, lobe, pump assessment

I changed the cam follower at 50,000 miles and would appreaciate feedback on the condition of the follower, lobe, pump. Is has been running a stage 1 tune for around 25,000. Serviced regualrly with oil changes around 7,000 intervals.
