18x8.5 235/40 Rubbing

Hey guys,

Bought some RPF1s recently that came with 235 tyres.

Fitment is already pretty aggressive on the wheels at 8.5 and ET35 - then on top of this with 235 tyres am getting a fair bit of running around tight corners/bumps.

Am considering getting guards rolled, although was quoted $170 AUD per guard as the roller mentioned guard hub tools can heavily warp the panels.

Am not sure if I'm better off forking the money for getting front guards rolled (as may lower in the future), or if a 225 tyre would fix the issue with a much lower cost (assuming I can sell my current tyres).

Photos attached of fitment and rubbing.

Appreciate the help.

Get rid of the rims to aggressive for your setup get something that fits. I wouldn't roll the fenders to keep those wheels. Its amazing what difference a couple MM of offset does. 18x8 +45 offset with those tires is perfect. I'm sure someone else with chime in.

Roll them fenders and lower the car for some more camber. If you are running spacers, don't run them.
Or as fatvdub said, sell those wheels, and aim for a ET42-45 8.5 wide wheel.
