2 door vs 4 door springs difference

In general, what would happen if I put 2 door suspension parts on a 4 doors and vice versa?
Is it just slightly different spring rates/ride height?

I would compare OEM part numbers between the 2. Aftermarket springs and coil overs seem to be the same for both.

I've been trying to get that information. The color dots seem to be how most people get the info, but I can't find 4 door manual info.

VW doesn't share/post the spring specs to the public

I see. I'm not gonna sweat this one. Most aftermarkets don't seem to think there's enough of a difference to develop separate product lines depending on #doors, type of transmission, sunroof/no sunroof etc.
