lol i just read that whole thing. surprisingly the majority of them seemed much more reasonable and not as "fanboy" as the people on this forum. but their ridiculousness is over the top sometimes. a full bolt on si beating a k04 lol

No worse than this forum really. Only 2 or so fanbois who hated VWs with a passion and no amount of logic/reality/facts could dissuade them, but they seemed young. Get them and some the youth on this forum together and you'd get quite the flame war. Get em together on the street and it's all bad.

Also the mods were way more Nazi/heavy-handed over there. Got me to appreciate bender/danielj/bubuski more!

Edit: surprisingly a good number of them were well informed on the upgrade path for the GTI. More so than a lot of the noobs on our forum who own GTIs!

August 2010, did some research on the forums before buying it =P

I will eventually :laugh:
I enjoy driving on twisty roads and such but not like some people here where they push it hard.

Followed with my 1st ticket a month ago... corolla was going 55mph on the highway and i pulled out and floored it, it was downhill when i did it. CHP hiding in the shadow of the underpass got me from 867 ft away with lidar going 84. He was nice and wrote it down to 79 $288 with traffic school. I'm not angry, in fact i deserved it tbh. Makes me drive slower/safer and conserve gas now=P

i used to have a 2010 fa5, and was an active member on the 8th. i should read it all, log on, and give them some input. maybe when i'm home from work.

Ya it seems like they cant talk about anything fun, like maybe there are bans/suspensions for talking about street racing on there?? lol thats some Kim Jong Il stuff. Anyways, I dont know how if they are just young or ignorant. That one guy HATES GTIs, for absolutely no reason. Maybe his dad drove a GTI home from work everyday, and that GTI was the only thing this kid saw before he was getting the 40 lashes treatment

Liability issues, the old owner was told by his lawyer to not allow it. Basically it came down to if someone from the forums was seriously hurt in a street racing accident they could have blamed it on the website, stating a challenge or some other BS.

Sounds lame to me. Oh well, glad thats not our Mods. THANKS GUY FOR NOT BEING STALIN/MUSSOLINI/PUTIN EMBODIMENTS
