Love the car - looks great! You chose the VWR over DG springs. Why? Are you happy with the VWRs?
I really like the drop - obviously there but not "slammed." Have you had any problems scraping your chin?
Am I correct in reading that you feel these springs soak up road imperfections better, and you are getting better handling and a better ride?

I may have to change my "to do" list from DGs to VWRs...

Hah. Funny story. I won them for fastest lap on the driver sim at the APR BBQ a while back.

Soooo that's why the VWR are on vs the DG.
So far so good with the VWR. Scraped once. That was my fault though. Steep driveway....took it at the wrong angle. Other than that its been smooth sailing. Thanks by the way for the comments!

Wheels are on my radar next. Gonna keep my Detroit's and OEM tires for a winter setup probably. Have the nice wheels and tires for spring thru fall.

Not really winter per say.....I just don't like driving summer tires in our freezing temps. Contrary to what others may think....we get into the low teens sometimes in the winter here.

Meh, havent had issues this year or last year. It got COLD last year too.

Okay fellow forum rats, need some input.

Deciding on wheels for the springtime.

I've really got my eyes set on the Enkei EK3M with either Hankook V12 or the BFG Comp -2's

Not really feeling VMR's as they are quite common, and don't want to spend more than $1300.00 for the whole lot...here are some for your consideration shots


I know they are on a MKV GLI, but its close enough to give an idea.
