ABT Sportline has released details and photos on its tuned MK6 GTI models and kits. Using the GTI's 2.0L 210hp stock engine, ABT has developed two stages of performance kits.
The first stage increases the MK6 GTI to 260 horsepowers by use of an ECU tune and an exhaust system. The second stage kit swaps out the factory turbocharger with an upgraded turbocharger that boosts the power to 300hp, which reduces 0-62mph acceleration to under 6 seconds (compared to the factory 0-60 of 7.2 seconds). Stiffer springs, upgraded brakes and larger wheels round out the performance upgrades.
On the cosmetic side of things, ABT's aero parts for the MK6 GTI is centered around the red pin stripe theme. The aggressive aero kit includes a new front grill and bumper with LED accent lights, front lip spoiler, sideskirts, roof spoiler and an aggressive rear spoiler with quad stacked exhaust pipes. The already impressive factory GTI interior has been further spruced up with plenty of red accents throughout, including on the steering wheel, doors, gauges and the dashboard.
Pricing hasn't been announced, but will come at a later time. Check out the photos below!
