I put $80 in my TDI already, earlier this week. Of course, my foot is light as a feather and I get better mileage than you lot with your fast gassers. But diesel is more expensive then unleaded in CA, increased taxes for the additional wear and tear that my heavyweight Golf is putting on the roads .

I don't know how much they are worried about my Golf, haha. I'm allowed 2 failed/not ready monitors in a smog check. Sure diesel is more expensive but I can do 550-600 a tank highway. And even with my very diesel unfriendly commute i rarely see a tank under 425.

That being said, beside the TDI in the garage sits a Tesla that makes more sense for most of our driving. And we have the luxury of being able to do 99% of our charging in our garage.
