Hi folks,
I need some honest opinions on what to ask for my GTI.
I bought it last year for $9600 w/103k miles on it. Immediately took it to my favorite shop and had all fluids dropped and changed along with thermostat, belt, timing garb and coolant reservoir. Installed COBB accessport stage 1 w/cai, esc big rear brakes and Audi tt equivalant front (same stock calipers but with hawk pads). ECS turbo muffler delete along with their piping all the way to the throttle body but kept stock intercooler. ECS catback exhaust and catch can as well as Leyo heavy shift knob. Trans acted funny since the first day and finally Boise Audi vw ended up replacing the DSG complete to the tune of a little over $7000. While playing with the turbo muffler and piping I noticed quite a bit of oil so turbo was just also replaced with a new Audi/VW unit, $2240. Overall it's in better shape than a 2010 deserves to be but I've just sort of soured towards it. Runs fantastic and has only a few small issues like the headliner has a small saggy spot right where it meets the eye glasses cubby. Headlights have the glazed look you'd expect after 11yrs but I plan to buff them clear. Even the seats are in great shape. I've got all the receipts and service reports since. It now has 108k on it but I wouldn't hesitate to drive it a long distance to deliver.
If you were looking, what would you pay for it? Opinions are welcome
