Here’s something you may like. A central source for updates on AWE Tuning’s Mk6 GTI TSI product line-up. Check it, check again. Repeat. It’ll be maintained with the most up-to-date Mk6 GTI TSI product information.

Below you’ll find three recommended upgrade paths, followed by an “ala carte” section for those looking to create their own Performance. Whether you’re looking to dip your toe into AWE Tuning Performance technology with a basic tune, or your goal is to replicate AWE Tuning’s record setting Mk6 quarter mile, we’ve got you covered.

AWE Tuning Power Packages:

Stage 1 - G.I.A.C. Software Upgrade

Currently available for 2010 and 2011 model years.

G.I.A.C.’s Stage 1 Software is designed to be the perfect Performance compliment for a stock vehicle. Massive power improvements are achieved through the recalibration of the engine’s ignition timing, fuel mapping and boost with no compromises in reliability or driveability. Throttle response is also improved for a more direct, drive by cable, feel. A stage 1 Flash requires no Hardware changes to your car. Just buy and drive (faster).

Switching:

All stages of G.I.A.C. Software are offered with the following program options:

• Stock Program (good if you need to switch the car back to stock performance for any reason)
• Pump Fuel Performance Program (91 or 93 octane depending on what is available in your area)
• Race Fuel Program
• Security Kill Program (no start)
• Valet Program (slooooow)
• Privacy Firewall (locks program in place with password)

G.I.A.C. allows you to switch programs with their remarkably easy to use Handheld Flashloader. Simply plug in the Flashloader into your OBD2 port, select “Read” and a light will illuminate next to which programs have been uploaded to your ECU. Push the button for the program you want, unplug the Flashloader and you’re set.

• 0.47 seconds quicker to 60mph and 2.55 seconds quicker to 100mph than stock
• Gains of 74 HP and 80 LB FT at the Crank

Components:
AWE Tuning Turboback Exhaust System
AWE Tuning C|C|B Intake
AWE Tuning TSI S3 Front Mounted Intercooler System
G.I.A.C. Software (with multiple switching options as with the Stage 1 software)
• Optional AWE Tuning Turbo Outlet Pipe

You can upgrade components individually as your budget allows or all at once for a completely new driving experience. Of note, if upgrading to Stage 2 software outside of the Stage 2 package, you’ll need to upgrade to a High Flow Downpipe to allow for more airflow.

2.0T Quarter Mile Package:

Record Breaker.

On April 9th 2011, AWE Tuning’s daily-driven Mk6 2.0T hit an 11.87 second quarter mile, and trapped 120.3 mph. That’s fast enough for it to be called the World’s Fastest TSI Powered Vehicle. Outright.

What’s more impressive than setting a World Record and being the first 2.0T TSI in the 11’s? AWE Tuning’s GTI is a true daily driver with off-the-shelf AWE Tuning and G.I.A.C. products, now available in one easy to acquire kit, so anyone can have a shot at an 11 second quarter mile.

We also offer AWE Tuning Mk6 GTI Performance products and G.I.A.C. software ala carte, so you can bolt on a Performance Package tailored to your specific needs.

TSI K04 Turbo Kit:

By combining high performance OEM parts, beautifully designed solutions engineered in-house, and cutting edge Performance software from G.I.A.C., AWE Tuning’s 360 hp TSI K04 Turbo Kit has pushed K04 expectations.

It’s a complete, ready to install solution. We include all the necessary gaskets, bolts and other installation hardware.

Powerful. Daily Driveable. Track proven. Phenomenal bang for your buck. Record Breaking.

Part of AWE Tuning’s 2.0T Quarter Mile Package, this TSI K04 Turbo Kit helped propel a daily driven Mk6 GTI DSG to an 11.87 second quarter mile run and a 120.3mph trap speed.

Click here to read more about this blazingly fast turbo kit: http://www.awe-tuning.com/products/vw/mk6-g-j-2010/2-0t/mk6-tsi-k04-turbo-kit.html

Intake:

Our AWE Tuning’s Cold Cone Box (C|C|B) Intake is the most complete intake available for the 2.0T, and one of our fastest sellers.

We upgraded the tubing both before and after the MAF to increase the volume of air that can enter your engine. We also use a carbon fiber box to keep hot air in the engine bay from entering the intake stream to ensure your car gets the coolest possible intake charge.

Why is this important? Cool air is denser. The denser the air, the more air gets into your engine. More air into your engine means more power.

Available with your choice of Silver or Black Piping.

Exhaust:

One of our most sought after products: the AWE Tuning Exhaust System. We chose 2.5” diameter tubing to maintain good low end response while still being large enough to support over 400whp when mated with an AWE Tuning Performance downpipe. This is a bolt on, drone free system that has a very sweet sound at full throttle.

The AWE Tuning Catback Exhaust system is topped off with your choice of 3.5" Round or our exclusive Oval Tips, available in Polished Silver or Diamond Black finished. The tips sport laser etched AWE Tuning logos and are double walled to ensure a mirror polish even under hard usage. The system has multiple slip joints with high quality stainless band clamps, to allow optimal adjustment.

The Catback Exhaust will mate up to the stock downpipe, and our downpipe will mate to our catback or any other catback that is designed to mate up to the factory downpipe.

The AWE Tuning Downpipe features an integrated resonator to keep the exhaust sound volume civilized even with the elimination of the very restrictive factory converters. Our Downpipe is the first performance downpipe to be released that will not trigger a Check Engine Light on the CBFA engined cars, even on stock software. Also, our Downpipe will pass all on-board and tailpipe emissions standards in all 50 states.

Turbo Outlet Pipe:

The factory TSI turbo outlet pipe (a.k.a. pancake pipe), with its dramatic change in shape, is not optimized for airflow. With 30% more volume than stock and a smooth, unobstructed pathway for air, AWE Tuning’s TSI Turbo Outlet Pipe will give you more power and quicker turbo spool.

Available in your choice of raw aluminum or black powder coated finishes.

Intercooler:

AWE Tuning’s TSI S3 Front Mount Intercooler Hose Kit allows for a true bolt-on installation of the S3 FMIC. It features high quality Nomex lined silicone hoses and a machined billet aluminum adaptor to provide a perfect seal with your factory turbo compressor outlet pipe (also known as the pancake pipe). Click here for more info: http://www.awe-tuning.com/products/vw/mk6-g-j-2010/2-0t/s3-fmic.html

Looking for a complete intercooler solution? AWE Tuning’s TSI S3 FMIC package pairs the OE 2.0T S3 FMIC and our TSI S3 FMIC Hose Kit for a bolt on upgrade with perfect fitment. Click here for more info: http://www.awe-tuning.com/products/vw/mk6-g-j-2010/2-0t/awe-s3-fmic-hosekit.html

Still nothing for the 2011 GTI...correct?
GIAC has now (as of late yesterday) released their 2011 2.0T TSI Software.

I'll be posting up more information shortly, but all ECUs and Stages (1, 2 and K04) will be covered.

And to top it off, GIAC is offering a nice special for the month of June (but more on this later).

just got my stg1 93 oct tune at technical dimensions in JAX. although they were busy and had a bit of a hiccup getting my tach to work afterwords, it was a nice experience. the tune is fantastic. feels smooth as stock. if you putter around at low rpms the dsg is smooth and gentle. but press hard on the loud pedal and angry tire eating horses are unleashed in a very linear fasshon. im totally stock(bsds the tune) and this car is truly quick, even down here in the south where the heat is oppresive. my list of mods will def include a s3fmic, but until then i am very satisfied with my new HOT HATCH!
