Funny you bumped this thread back up. I ended up having jd autosports install the coils, they botched the install. On the fronts they didn't fully Seat one of the shocks, had to fix it myself. Just put new wheels on my car, when I jacked the rear up I noticed they installed the perches upside down. Let them know they made a mistake, but was told it was a preference and they would fix it but have to charge me.... FUCK THAT. They both seemed like nice enough guys but I will not recommend them, nor will I go back to them.

I'm not one to slander a shop, but I felt things could have been handled differently. Live and learn...

I've had great luck with futrell so far for stage 1 and 40k DSG service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them

So what is a decent price to have just springs installed on a GTI?

I did some reading on the forums to get some data but looking for local info if anyone has it.

One of the quotes I received seemed a little outrageous.

$200 should honestly be about max. These shops try and charge the 4-5 hours labor and they do it under 2.
The below is one of the quotes I got - talk about HWY Robbery

We are able to order the following:
H&R Sport Springs 1.2 inch drop (front and rear)
H&R Super Sport with a 1.5 inch drop (front) and a 1.4 inch (rear)
Eibach Pro Kit 0.8 inch drop (front and rear)
Eibach Sportline 1.4 inch drop (front) 1.3 inch drop (rear)

The price for any of the springs listed above is $995, that price includes the installation and everything torqued to factory specifications.

I wanna say Futrell quoted me under $500 all in for coils, but that was back in November and I've lost quite a few brain cells since then :drinking:
