The route that we currently have planned is 94.6 miles each way from The Landing to Paradise

Donations:
Childhaven is located in Seattle and their mission is, to prevent and stop the cycle of abuse and neglect through scientifically-supported programs that protect and treat children aged one month through five years, and their families.

You can read all about their charity at www.childhaven.org/

This year we will be collecting donations in forms of cash, or personal checks made out to Childhaven. You can also donate online by visiting Childhaven website.

Now that all of the fun informational stuff has been addressed, the serious stuff needs to be discussed.

**SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY!!!**
This is without a doubt our #1 concern.
We all will be driving as a group, and as a group, we all represent the European car enthusiast community. No one is to do any burnouts, illegal lane changes, or any passing on the shoulder. Everyone needs to keep their speed under control and make sure that they are not following cars in front of them too closely, whether they are with our group or not. SAFETY is paramount; do not drive like an idiot! Please do not make us have to call the police on any vehicles that are not driving in a safe manner.

Please make sure that you are allowing other vehicles that are not part of our cruise to merge onto the highway. You don’t need to worry about being separated from the rest of the group. It is extremely unsafe to do this and we are not in a race to get to our destination, it’s called a cruise for a reason. Drive respectfully, safely, and courteously to everyone around you.

This thread will be modified as we make updates or clarifications.

Stay tuned for more BPCDubs cruises and events in the future.

We hope to see you there!

Few questions..

Will there be apparel for sale like tshirts, hats, stickers, etc that benefits the charity?

will there be a representative from the charity on the drive as well?

Is there an (Un)official photographer in the group that will be doing rolling shots and shots of cars at the destination?

thanks! looks like a very fun event with a great purpose

To answer your questions:
1) No, we have considered that for our prior drives and it ends up not being worth it. Our events gather smaller groups of people, most print companies require large orders to get better pricing. I will bring up the idea of making a sticker for this and all future drives, but again demand vs price is an issue. We don't keep any of the proceeds, so all the cash spent on stickers would have to come out of our pocket.

2) So far we have only had PAWS show up to one of our prior events. Again, we draw small number of people, so for most of these charities it's easier if we just bring them the proceeds.

3) In the past I have shot videos of our drives. We do take pictures at the gathering location and at the final destination. This route makes it nearly impossible to do rolling shots since it's a one lane road. But we do have few talented photographers in the group and idea of having one designated person take pictures has been brought up and more than likely we will do that for this event.

I would like to reiterate that we don't collect money for our profit, all proceeds go straight to charity of our choise. Every year we pick a different organization to donate to. Last year it was PAWS, this year it's Child Haven...who knows who will be picked next year.
