Bump stops and boot cover necessary?

Just refreshed my suspension with some new Bilstein coilovers. Just buttoned everything up and realized I didn’t put any bump stop or boot cover on the new rear shocks. Are these necessary? Oops!

It's not that much work to pull it back off anyways, to put them on

Bump stops.......should have them, not going to be catastrophic unless you bottom out often or are super low.

Boots on the shocks?? Absolutely necessary. Think of all the road grime and gunk and crap spraying off the wheels, especially in the rain. Now think about that splattering all over the exposed piston for your shock and coating it as it slides up and down grinding that dirt into the seal and likely some of it getting past and into the shock eventually causing early failure.
