Check engine + engine stutter this morning

So this morning with the beatiful cold weather of Canada, walked to my car and started it. It automatically threw a "Low engine coolant". Went and check and rhe coolant was a little under the minimum so I told myself I would drive to the dealer to get some coolant after work.

I decided to let the car a little bit to warm it up before taking it to work. 5min after I come back and the engine has trouble keep his RPM + check engine light.

No way Im driving that to work. What could that be? The car is USDM so apparently the warranty isnt valid in Canada. Shit -_-

Will be sending the car to my nearest VW specialist real soon, but what could it be?

Any coolant on the ground? Any unusual smoke from the tail pipe?

Haven't notice anything, but might it be "just" a water pump?
