Pretty much. My fiance's sister has a nice apartment in Lincoln Square but she stays with her boyfriend most of the time so we can stay at her place whenever we want. Fiance has been missing Chicago and wanted to go to some of the shops she likes, so she's doing that and I'm here working. Gonna get some fire ramen later and go home

A billion years ago I taught B&W photography at university. Photography using film is far different from digital. You had 24 or 36 shots on 35mm and had to think about each picture. You had to frame properly and worry about exposure because the fixes weren't that easy or fast.

I literally have three or four footlockers full of gear - Nikon, Nikkormat, Leica, Leicaflex, Rollei, Rolleicord, Voigtlaender, Hasselblad, Minox, Pentax, Mamiya, Mamiyaflex, Olympus, Exacta, Zorki (a Russian counterfeit of Leica) and a handful of others. I still have a Leitz and Beseler enlarger and a zillion lenses, but haven't used them in 30 years.

From a financial standpoint, I'm glad I learned photography on digital first -- it helps me make fewer mistakes on film which is very much appreciated when rolls are $8-12 and dev/scan is $20 in my area. My main film camera is incredibly efficient with a roll too -- I don't have to stretch the film nearly as far to get it spooled so I usually end up with 39 or 40 frames from a 36 roll.
