I'm just not sure if I should keep the filter secured inside the intake like that or if it'd be better to pull it out and have it sit inside the box separately. That width is tight. I gotta fill it with some packing material still. Maybe clean it up a little first...

Looks like it's big enough you could cut down the top and make it shorter. But do whatever you gotta do, lmk.

I was thinking about it. Shrink it down a little. Reinforce it a little. Add a lot of air bags.

I would leave the filter in but rotate the intake 90 degrees so the filter exit is pointed to the top of the box. You should be able to wrap the intake well enough with bubble wrap and packing peanuts/paper or what ever to keep it safe.
