CSB3: BIG THINGS COMING -

Just got back from the dealer. My wife's brand new Tiguan, that has like 1,700 miles on it, had a CEL that wouldn't go away. Scanned it, came up 'unknown'. Cleared it. Came back next drive. No drivability issues. Booked an appointment at the dealer yesterday, got the call it was all set.

What was the issue, you ask?

Who gassed the car up last?

My mom just did this with her new Subaru Ascent and the dealer. Her last car, a Chevy Trax, didn't have a gas cap so she claims she wasn't used to it haha.

Weird that the code was "unkown" though. They should put a special code in there for evap leaks that's just "DID YOU CHECK THE GAS CAP?!?!"

I think my car has a warning on the cap saying it could illuminate the MIL if you don't click it all the way.

I've never driven it. I'm just a passenger princess anytime I get in. And I believe in strong, independent women who don't need no man to pump their gas.

So... her 🤣

Because of the swap to SFD2 protection on the control modules, most consumer grade readers are all but useless on 2025 cars.

I literally have a new gas cap ready because of a 24 hour evap code. Disappeared before expedited Amazon shipping could arrive 😆

Mine has been fine for the decade old the car is. Well, other than the tether thing snapping in half haha.

that's all the codes, it's the car equivalent of "did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in"

sr-p lite clutch is a $40 add on, h pattern shifter is $150 add-on.

I plan on getting them eventually, but I wasn't sure if I was going to keep the sr-p lite pedals or if I was going to shell out a couple hundred more for a different set in the future.

Since I've added the load cell I've been leaning toward keeping the sr-p lite.

Is the SRP Lite a Loadcell? Thought SRP was the load cell pedal, and the SRP Lite had a spring package to give the brake pedal more feel?
