ive test driven 3 subaru wrxs, the hawkeye, stink eye and raptor eye, and yeah i mean they were all stock but they all felt pretty boring and though i was long lusting for them the drive just didn't rope me in

I was afraid of this with the GTI, I wanted one from back in the mk3/mk4 days and it influenced me heavily. Thankfully, the GTI really pulled me in, and with mods it just gets better and better.

The DCCD center diff could be manually set to a static about of spit, front, even or more to the rear. In auto, car was faster on track, but unpredictable.

the only three "eye" imprezas were the GD chassis cars bc they had two facelifts.

those were the bugeye, blobeye, and hawkeye ones.

lmao the rest of those were retconned after the fact.

the non GD ones are just called by their chassis codes, not some weird ass eye nomenclature.

GC, GD(with bug, blob, and hawk further separations), GR, VA, and now VB.

I helped a buddy get one in high school. We drove over to miami to check one out and he didn't bring any cash. I paid the deposit to have the car held until he could come back with his parents. He ended up with a blown head gasket pretty soon after he bought it.

Mine kept eating MAF sensors. Had an intake, headers and exhaust with a “tune” I think. $500 MAF kept messing up making it run like shit. Dealer I bought it from blamed me sucking up water cause it had a CAI on it. Was a bunch of BS they just didn’t know what was wrong with it. I was in college and didn’t have time to mess with it. Put like 30k miles on it in less then a year and sold it back to them at a loss. Rolled that over to a 94 Accord. Was a good lesson. I was paying like $300 for car payment, $300 for insurance and putting premium in the thing. So much money wasted.
