Delayed start

Hi I turn the key and nothing happens for about 3 seconds then the engine turns and starts it's only started since driving through some water,once warm starts as normal. any ideas

could be alternator or battery or electrical wiring fault somewhere, take it to a VW/Audi specialized shop and ask for diagnose, then report back here what you did to fix it. It helps others.

I've narrowed it down to be something with the stop start, I found if I turn it off before I turn the key it starts straight away then once warm turn it back on and stop starts fine
