A lot of businesses really do need to make sure none of their systems can connect to the internet

if they’re gonna be careless they better be operating in a solid intranet environment

Software/hardware marketing lot:- Oh but you can do so much with interconnectivity, all remotely, workers don't need to be on site, they can monitor everything from their home or mobile phone or tablet, making it all much more cost effective" ......


....eerrrrrrrrr......& in doing so making it easier for everybody else (hackers) to do the same if they are so inclined....

The only secure system these days is one with no way of connecting it to the net & no way for unauthorised USB drives to be inserted.....i.e. total air gapped.
