Ebay Interior Light Kit

i got all my interior lights from supebrightLEDs.com...


they look great and i spent about $40 for all 4 dome lights, the glove box light, trunk light, both visor lights, and footwell lights.


use 194 LED's for all the dome lights, footwell lights, and glove box light.

the visors and trunk are festoon bulbs, the trunk it 44mm and the visors are 37mm i think?

double check the festoon sizes.

as long as the LED's fit those requirements, they will work. interior lights don't throw codes or anything.

DJEuphoria, would you mind listing or linking all the ones that you've bought? I found many different types/selections on superbrightleds.com under 194 and festoon that I'm kinda lost...

you can't really go wrong with the 194's. the ones i bought specifically are the crazy little cluster-looking bulbs.

and i don't remember what size festoon bulbs i got but the ones for the visors have 3 LED's along one side of the bulb and the big festoon for the trunk has i think 5 LED's along 3 sides....


if you search around on the forums the festoon bulb sizes are definitely on here, if not i'm sure someone will chime in with the sizes in this thread eventually.

whoa i got the festoon sizes right off the top of my head?

danielj i hope you're not just going by the sizes i mentioned. like i said i only "think" those are the right sizes. my memory is garbage, i forgot the sizes as soon as i ordered the bulbs haha

I have 5 dome lights not 4. 2 in the map lights, 3 in the rear overhead light.

Just ordered 8 194's and 1 44mm festoon (opted out of the 37mm since I don't use visor light much)... came out to be $57 with ship.

get ready for the headache that is replacing your interior lights.


it's not so bad once you figure out how everything comes out. but the footwells and glove box are a big PITA mainly because of the housing the bulbs are in. have a flathead screwdriver ready.

Now you're scaring me... It's really that hard? I was thinking just using a flathead screwdriver and insert into the outside slits and pop it out. Guess I'll have to crank that thing...

well the housing pops out pretty easy. unplug it from the wire harness and its a metal housing with a plastic case. carefully pry apart the metal clips from the plastic and swap the bulbs, then close it up, plug it back in, and mount it.

it's pretty easy if you know what you're doing. the first time i did it i just kinda blindly went at it and was stumped for a while haha

hahah, i'm looking forward/not really, to doing this myself. but i'll attack it and become victorious in the end! just hopefully without a bunch of broken stuff ;)
