Enkei Raijin + Michelin Pilot Super Sports

Ready to race!
This package here is what I am leaning towards too. I wanna upgrade the wheels and at the moment Im torn in between these Enkei's and VMR v710s. Tires reviews say that the Michelin SS are the best tire out there right now. Two questions for you:

Why you had to change bolts? Does the factory ones didn't fit, or they are short?
Do the Enkei's have the same centerbore spacing as the stock or they have an adapter that comes with?

Thanks.

PS: Those Enkei's look SICK!!!

The bolts are different. I think it's the shape of the heads, like conical vs rounded or something. You get a new set of bolts with them, no big deal. You can get the same bore pattern 5x112 on the Enkei with the right part, so they just fit no worries. Tire Rack was great, they come all set up and ready to go.

I've run some autocross and track days in rain and the PSS are amazing in the rain for summer tires. They get squirrely down around 38F temps like any summer tire, but otherwise are a great purchase for a DD summer tire that can handle spirited stuff like autocross.

Just put a set of these wheels wrapped in Hankook v12's on my car last weekend. Purchased the set from Tirerack, unfortunately they came a bit out of balance and I had to pay $50 at the shop to get the re-balanced, but I must say these wheel in gunmetal look amazing on the Shadow Blue and the v12s grip very well, not on par with PSS, but they are a great value at ~$550

Is that hyper silver or gunmetal? Looks more like gunmetal to me...

Enkei's hyper silver looks like what most call gunmetal. It's a wheel that's painted all black, and then lightly sprayed with silver over the face of it. That's why it has the look it does. The inside is still black. An upside is that the inside of the wheel never looks dirty since it's matte black. A downside to this is that you cannot touch up the paint on the face. I got a bunch of chips in mine and Enkei told me it can't be touched up. I wouldn't get them again.

The new tires over the stock pirellis were like night and day. No more spinning off the line with gentle gas, no more squealing on moderate hairpins. These are by far the best tires I have ever had. Still no chance to drive them in the wet but I have read good things. The car feels way more planted and sure on every corner, and much more sure footed coming off the line fast

Agree 100% concerning the tires - just put them on 18" Nuespeed RSe12s last week and they are amazing. Far less wheel spin in all situations and indeed the greatest benefit I've found is how well they drive in the rain - so much beter - more girp - greater confidence then the Continental whatever I had as OEM...shouldn't have waited until they wore out to change them....
