It's honestly not that hard to install, it's as simple as an intake.
I'll help u along the way. Just let me know. I've helped a few members here with installs. Me and Brunkel are good friends and talk weekly. Golfmk6 has brought us together lmao!

+1 golfmk6 has also brought brunkel and I together

and if you don't have the tools, go out and buy a crappy drill for $30 and a set of torx bits. Will be like $40 total vs hundreds in labor that you're about to pay a shop.

setup your webcam on google hangouts and you can live stream it and we'll help you along the way! We did this for renners k04 install and there were like 10 of us on chat helping remotely.

get some confidence and dooooo itt!!!!!!

The instalation is pretty clear, now i either talk to my dads friend who has a lift or if that wont work out, ill buy stands, one step away, and also time, im gonna be working this entire weekend (i already work weekly) so the next two weeks will be busy. Or i could have some1 else to do it cheaper, my coworkers friends husband works/owns a shop that specializes bmws and audis (it will be MUCH cheaper than the other shop quoted me that did my apr tune), he did my work when i screwed up installing my ecs clutch bleeder block and made my clutch wont go back and called a flatbed. Ill probably do some help while im at it. On another note clutch instalation delayed bc i accidently forgot to set appointment, and its booked for 2 more weeks.

If you are up for a custom fmic setup, go the route I went. It's no cakewalk but you can do it. Spent less $$$ than most of the other setups mentioned. Labor....free of course. LOL.
$500 labor to install a stock location SMIC (sandwich mount intercooler) is a RIPOFF.

Here's my custom FMIC:

Tkulhanc134 , install the clutch yourself. It's not that hard to do. Me and Sebastian24 installed a Southbend clutch on his '13 GTI. You just have to be careful because the damn transmission is heavier than it looks. Necessary tools: engine bar and ratchet straps. Engine bar to brace the engine once the tranny is out. Ratchet straps to help hold down the axle yoke/intermediate shafts so you can bolt them to the tranny itself.
