Will the golf r intercooler bolt right up on the gti with out any mods required? And is it worth it for a few power gains?

if staying IHI turbo, a nice single nozzle meth set up with the nozzle spraying into the charge pipe will work wonders for your IATs
plus a base coolingmist set up is only $200 if you tap your WW reservoir.

Yes, you can install the Golf R in the car without any modifications to the car. However the stock intercooler hoses will need to be modified or you will have to buy an S3 hose kit.
