Got warranty letter from VW today

They are finally admitting and accepting fault for intake manifold flapper issues. To bad I fixed it on my own a month ago.

You can try to submit a claim and get reimbursed but I don't think many people have luck with self repair claims. I tried when they did a recall for the ABS module but receipts for parts I bought wasn't enough for them and it was denied. Would probably work if a shop did it.

Theoretically if you disconnect the vacuum line on the intake manifold flapper solenoid then go drive it around for a little bit you'll pop the p2015 code. You could theoretically plug it in again before you take it in .

i got it the other week too. I should have replaced mine when i did my valve cleaning when i did K04.... but figured it wasnt broke, so dont fix it.

They were in the original recall. My IM was changed for free 4 years ago. 2012 here

Yea, obviously... Even some people that work at dealerships call everything a RECALL bc they're mentally challenged.
