Go Kart Champion
Should've started on this a while ago. Its been 2 years since I've had it from new. Going to be updating pics more as I go but here is the list so far along with the rest of the mods I that will be complete within the next year when the project is finished (ehh hem, yea I know its never really done, lol)
Quick note: Some of the "mods" I have listed may not be huge but I listed them anyways just to be thorough as it is a build thread. I did this mainly to help others and give them an idea of how I'm building the car and as kind of a hint to what I also recommend doing. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Current Mileage : 34,600 mi
Motor/Trans:
-APR K04 Turbo Upgrade with UNITRONIC Software, switched over from APR
-Diverter valve relocated with D-revision piston valve
-Test pipe tune
-Unitronic Stage 2 DSG flash
-Modified Ultimate Racing Turbo-back exhaust with titanium tips
-Tried every configuration ever. Currently rear mufflers and two resonators.
-Custom Exhaust cutout with modular DMH Electric cutout (button mounted under dash)
-APR Stage 1 Intake also a modified intake pipe with filter currently.
-BSH Stage 2 Pipe
-BSH Recirculating Catch Can
-BSH Motor mount, transmission mount, and full torque arm mount
-HPA lower trans interlock mount
-Nuespeed Turbo Outlet pipe
-Nuespeed Air Inlet pipe.....Now BSH throttle pipe.
-Forge Boost Tap
-Forge pcv blockoff/fix/africa plate (re-routed BSH can hoses)
-APR Intercooler
-Forge Spacer (sold after 3 months) yea, I know....
-Diverter Valve Revision D
-Removed noise pipe and sound resonator behind dash, also installed block off in firewall
-Trimmed various components of the engine bay
-Semi relocated breather tube for Secondary Air injection
-Red Top Ignition Coils from ECS
-NGK Iridium Plugs
-Pimp-ass magnetic drain plug for the motor and trans as well as magnets for the oil filter (also known as Dimple plugs)
-Upgraded every hose clamp with worm gear clamps from ECS
-Installed Updated fuel filter revision
-Audi R8 oil cap
-Relocated diverter valve directly next to the throttle plate
-Upgraded all boost clamps to T-bolt.
Suspension/Chassis:
-KW V1 Coilovers
-no current FTG, its barely one finger. Going to say 24.6 inches?
-BSH rear sway bar (sold)
-APR front sway bar (set to medium)
-APR rear sway bar (set to firm)
-Nuespeed rear sway bar endlinks
-Stern rear control brace
-Ultra Racing Mid-brace
-Ultra Racing rear 4 point brace
-Diesel Geek Skid Plate
-Upgraded all Sub-frame bolts and installed shim kit
-12mm H and R spacers (not currently running in rear)
-ECS Jack Pad Kit
-Painted and undercoated entire under carriage (black)
-Rolled front fenders and trimmed wheel well liners

-Changed every interior bulb over to quality multi-LED bulbs (red and white)
-Removed all rear head-rests

-ECS Hatch Pop Kit
-Custom Rear Seat Delete from Euro Kreations
-Dynamat underneath rear seating area and stealth mounted amp and cap
-Rear seat belts removed and tucked
-Mercedes tire iron because racecar
-Dynamatted entire trunk and under rear seat area, every inch. Did about two layers. Added some to hatch as well.
- Full sized Nuespeed 17 inch spare to match the other four.
