Hello, my name is Simon and I picked up a black 2012 gti in August. I traded my 2009 mustang GT/CS in on this car. The mustang just didnt have the fun factor for me. I live in San Antonio now since getting out of the Air Force. I am hoping to keap learning from the forum and i hope to meet some of the folks here in the San Antonio area.

Hello everyone, just picked up a shadow blue 2012 MT with sunroof and convince. I have driven a truck for the last 12 years and needed something small, fast and fun. I love the this car! I get excited abou going to work just to drive it. Hoping to do a stage 1 chip next year. I live in Washington state Tacoma/Lacey area.

Hey hey! On Monday I will be picking up my 12 MkVI in black with sunroof and nav. Trading in my MKV with CAI. As bad as I wanted the autobahn Id rather sink the extra cash into performance. I will be selling several of the stock parts pretty much as soon as I pick up the car.. Brand new Wheels with the stock tires, springs and struts, factory air box, and the BOV. Look for my post in the classifieds. =)

I've been wandering around the forum for a while, thought it might be time to say hi. I used to own a 63 bug, unfortunately mother nature didn't very much like it. I was at work when a tornado hit, long story short I bought a new GTI.
Hoping to get some coilovers for her soon.

Hello all!

The name is really Jedidiah. No I am not Amish. Just a Mennonite.

I have owned a '88 toyota MR2 since I was 17. Got the car for free because the engine was shot, and the title was missing. Guy just gave it to me under the condition that I find the title. So my dad and I bought an engine for 800 bucks, put it in ourselves (father son project), and eventually found the title!

BUT! Owning a GTI has been my dream since I was 14. I love em, and am happy to be able to say I will be the proud owner of a 2012 MKVI in the next few months!

I've been coming to these forums a lot as a guest to educate myself, and I like what I see! Already planning on a couple of Mods (damn all of you), and dreaming about the car.

Got pulled over multiple times for DYI suspicions, those american cops just don't understand how you do engine braking on a tiptronic so your break lights do not flash at turns.

My first VW (last 4 cars were Audi's) is set to arrive tomorrow.

Had the dealer search SoCal to find the exact car I wanted: base Carbon Steel 2 door manual. I wanted the lightest car possible. It's being trucked in tomorrow.

My current car is a TT and I love it, but it's a DSG. Amazing transmission but I really missed driving a stick. Can't wait

Hi Everyone,

I just recently purchased my white '12 base model GTI. I'm located in the south bay, CA area.

Just ordered custom intake parts, and starting to look for some local meet ups to attend.

I usually go for runs up past Saratoga Village over the weekend, although I'd have to break in the GTI before I do runs with it.

Hi I'm from Orange, CA...I just got my 2012 CW GTI manual. Its by far way better than the Volvo S40 I came from and the Civic hatchback I used to have.
