Help: Bonnet Strut Warping CF Bonnet

Hey guys, first post here - I can't find a solution as searching just brings ups tons of results about ruined struts. So, I've got a CF bonnet and the strut, well, does it's job and pushes up on it. Problem is, it causes the CF to warp when the bonnet is shut (see attached picture). Does anybody know if there's an aftermarket manual strut option? Otherwise I might have to just yoink the original strut out and carry around a stick to prop up the bonnet when I need it open. Thanks!

I guess you could just take the strut off and hang on to it... Then pop it back on when you need the hood open for extended periods.

Or you could get a telescoping hood prop like mechanics use. The bluepoint one is nice and has rubber ends
