High DPF values?

Hey everyone!

I've got a 2010 Golf Mk6 1.6Tdi that's done 117k.

I've noticed recently that my car seems to have a deeper exhaust note, and also seems a little rougher on idle.

I've run it through VCDS and no error codes have come up, I've also checked the injector results and they look fine and all very consistent (phew!)

However, I checked the DPF related stuff in the advanced measuring section and this is where its at:

DPF difference pressure: 11.28 hPa
oil ash volume: 48.35g
soot mass: 14.30g
soot mass measured: 20.41g

I'm not too bothered about the soot as I can always do a regen, but more concerned about the ash volume - is this particularly high?

I'm not getting any errors but wondering if this could be causing some back pressure.

Has anyone tried anything for high ash other than having to remove it and clean or even replace?

Only solution for high ash is a cleaning off the car.

Thanks mate, just had a little look again on VCDS and another section showed me that 70g is the max so hopefully got a bit to go yet, I'll just keep an eye.

Just be aware that if you allow it to fill to the max you risk being stranded.
