Interior detailing tips? Cloth seats

Hey guys, I think my GTI interior is overdue for a more in-depth detail. Besides the usual dirt, I can see some paint transfer from damp jeans on the bottom of driver seat. Passenger seat just has some stains from my kids clothes after baseball practice. If I can avoid paying $250-400 for a professional detail, I'd rather go that route...especially since I enjoy cleaning the car.

So what product do you suggest for the seats? Tools I may need, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Ya i wanted to wash my cloth seat as well, just dirty from 3 years of butt in it. I wouldn't use a brush as that will make the material furry so i wonder if there is any other way other than having a little hand held carpet cleaning like vac

Anyway try not to piss yourself in the car.

No worries, my dog did that for me already...on the way back from the airport she decided to just let it out. Used some Nature Miracle right away, no smell at all and no stain.

Are there any shampoo's that smell decent? Going to be making a trip down to Griot's garage to pick up an orbital buffer, anything from their lineup that might do the trick?

I also use Blue Coral upholstery cleaner. I love to drive with my windows down and sunroof open. I do get dust build up which lightens the color of my seats. A good cleaning with Blue Coral and my seats are deep black again. I will eventually will purchase a carpet cleaner with a upholstery attachment, but until then I will continue to use Blue Coral

Nature's Miracle is awesome, we use it to clean the dogs and cats things.
We have a ladybug steam cleaner. It was a big investment but it is freaking amazing continuous steam at about 400 degrees. We use it primarily for tiles and hard surfaces as we have almost no carpet in our house. We did use it on our couch and made it look pretty much new.

go to the grocery store or home depot or wherever and rent a rug doctor steam cleaner for the day.. it will blow your mind the disgusting shit that comes out of those seats man..

Steam just pulls stuff out like nobody's business it is crazy. My mom calls the steamer the 'magic machine'.
