Load resistors fog lights

I put LED lights on my fog lights without load resistors and they work fine just throw off a code on the dash is this okay????

As long as you don't mind the light being on and it doesn't interfere with your state inspection.

i wired in some cheapie resistors i got from autozone and they fixed my fog light error light that i kept having after puttin on a golf R front bumper and those led lights i dont use those lights but was getting the error. but now it's gone. was easy, just spliced into the power wire of each light and away went my error message. i think it was a sylvania resistor kit, came with 2 gold resistors, with a wire coming out of each side, some zip ties, and some wire splicers to clamp on...
