Lower timing chain cover front crankshaft seal

Quick question for you guys, I damaged my front crankshaft seal while installing my lower timing chain cover. Is it possible to yank that little seal out without having to change the entire lower cover again? I found the PN 06L103085B.

Yea you should be able to get a removal tool under the lip of the seal

No prob just be aware and don't fubar the cover.

I'm sure if you are careful you'll get it out fine. They make a tool for removing seals.

Seal puller tool....

This seal is at the front and there is no real crankshaft to scratch.
Grabbed the seal with a pair of pliers, leveraged it against something and out it popped. Pushed the new seal in, went around it with a bit of a hammer and bobs your uncle.

I made an assumption that it was the crank seal. Sorry for the confusion I caused.
