Matching Springs for Bilstein

Ready to race!
Hi All,

I was a previous owner of a GIAC Stage II Mk6, sold it, had a few cars in-between and now I'm back on a Red MK6, I had to come back it feels good to be home.

However, I'm about to purchase new tires for this Detroits and also upgrade to a cup kit of some sort at the same time. I'm looking for pretty much the lowest drop, with out the ride quality being overly bounce on daily drives (Or so firm it feels like the car is going to rattle apart.)

Listed below is the struts i will be getting, and ECS has a cup kit using these with nuespeed springs and listing a 2" drop, however just the springs state a 1" drop.

From what I'e mentioned can you recommend the nuespeed bilstein combo or something else? I daily drive this car to work(30 miles daily), I like spirited driving, and I'm currently on a stock tune, but should be going cobb stage II shorty, so power will come eventually.

Thanks!

Those are just OEM replacements, not meant for lowering springs. Especially ones that give a 2" drop.

I'd pair up whatever springs you're looking at with the Koni Yellows instead, if you don't want it bouncy or too stiff. (they're adjustable anyways)

Koni Yellows seem to be more $$$, should i just go the coiler route with FK street works or SoloWerks S1's?

NOOOOOOO
Those will get you low & will work, but not so great ride quality. (the dampers suck on those coilovers)

So you gotta pick what's important to you...stancebro setup or a comfortable DD? It's tough/impossible to get a non bouncy, not too stiff setup for not a lot of money (< $500).
You get what you pay for

Konis and lowering springs will ride better than the < $1000 coilovers out there.
Just pick the right springs/height you want

They'll work...but if you're going with (the bigger dropping) Super Sports, I'd definitely go with the more robust Koni Yellows instead.
People have high expectations for the STr.T's and they don't meet them because they're using them with too aggressive springs.

You could get away with the H&R Sports & Koni STr.T's though....that's a nice/even drop & would be a good setup for a DD

Example of the H&R Sports:
