Mechanic just replaced entire a/c system, already blowing warm after 2 days?

So as title states, just replaced compressor, condenser, blower, and evaporator. Freon recharged. AC worked good for a few days but now it's back to warm. Anything we could've missed? Fan spins on radiator, rpms change when turning AC on. Is there a fuse maybe?

Looks like your mechanic will be rechecking and recharging. I'm sure it's a leaking O-ring or some such. Sorry you have to go through this, it sucks to not have working AC.

There was a time that I wouldn't own a car with AC. "Makes them too hard to work on". Finally ended up with a car that had AC. After a week "I'll never have another car without AC".

I feel like after replacing the entire system - he should warranty his work and see if there are any leaks.
He'll warranty it without an issue, I just didn't know if I missed something here. A tiny component, anything additional that would just hard stop like this.

I get a CEL on the dash when I turn on my AC... so I don't use my car's AC at all.... been doing this since 2016....

You guys down south have wild heat waves (45c+ /113F+) I felt it when I was in California/Texas when I was a OTR trucker. BRUTAL. I did run the AC in the semi-truck lol....non-stop. A lot of showers and coconut water.

our summers here getting hotter and hotter every year, I don't go out much, my social life is little-to-none, I'm single, so I chill at home, work on myself, I adopted a kitten May 7th so I've been spending most of my time with her (after work/gym), I named her Porscha. She will be 5 months old next month (August 5th).

I do plan on using the AC (after AC service) eventually but I can drive a car without it with the windows down.

I live in South FL, never seen it get above 100F but that was midday in the sun with probably 80+% humidity. Heat out in the west is much different since it's not nearly as humid and actually cools off at night.

Regardless, life without A/C here is unbearable and since this car is going bye bye soon, I can't really sell it without A/C

curious what's the price for a job like this?

the AC in my 2011 still blows cold air but you wouldn't think it's "broken" if it weren't for my new 2023 SUV sitting beside it. even if it's super hot out, the new car will be cold inside in 2-3 minutes, but my GTI will struggle for a good 10-15 minutes to get it down to the desired temperature.

My car needed new everything, so it ran me about $2100~ w/ labor and parts. The evap is what killed me the most.
