Those wheels first appeared on the Volkswagen CC Performance Concept that was shown at the 2008 SEMA show in Vegas. I do not believe they were ever sold on a factory car, but replicas in all kinds of sizes were cranked out like candy. Good looking wheel, but the original was forged I believe which allowed the spoke to be made thinner and give the wheel a more "open" feel. Looks way better than the reps IMO.

That photo was of my wheel.

Was available in Europe since the launch. Even the first press presentation in 2008 featured those wheels.

Of course! Those are the VW Mallory wheels and I've long considered putting a set on my Mk5
