Bummer post - not a big deal just need a new tire and refinish one of my rims again.

Just turning down parking lot aisle. Guy trying to cut across parking lot at speed comes out between two cars at speed, I turn to avoid contact and just made contact with the island at front of parking lot row. Split my sidewall and took a hunk of paint off my wheels which I had refinished and have been keeping them perfect. Darn it. So back in it goes to the wheel shop for a refinish and new tire.

I know, not a big deal, just annoying.

Well the title of my post was Golf R journey begins. Well the journey is officially over.

About a month ago a road rager rammed my car and sped off. About 6k in damage.

I got the car back and I had them spend an extra 1500 on paint to make it perfect all around.

I had the car back for 2 days and got T-boned. Car totaled, I was in trauma unit for 9 days. 6 fractured ribs, fractured scapula, bruised lung. Home now, probably another 6 weeks of therapy and healing before I can resume normal life. It all happened near my house. Anyway, this journey officially over.

Lots of really nice folks on this forum. Will miss it. Take care fellow enthusiasts!!!

My neighbor took this pic just after the ambulance had carted me off.

Only thing I remember is light turning green and making a left hand turn off my street.
