APR Ignition Coils are designed to be a direct plug-and-play upgrade to factory coils, and provide greater energy output, ensuring a stronger and more consistent spark. The commonplace replacement of factory ignition coils with those taken from higher output Audi RS models, such as the 2.5T, is popularly believed to provide greater energy output. APR 's website doesn't make any increase in power claims. Just a stronger, more consistent spark.

I did the same and picked up the blues.....and this is after I told myself I wasn't going to spend the extra $120 on NGK Race plugs vs Brisk ER10s for my Vortex install. I caved on that front. Oh well...now pissed another $160 into the wind when the stock coils still worked just fine

No, there are no power gains from coil output. It might allow you to run a larger gap for slightly better fuel economy but that isn't even a claim that APR is going to make. Not sure you can even change spark dwell time with the current tuning options though.
