O2 sensor or alternator

My vw is throwing multiple o2 sensor codes as well as voltage codes and wondering what I should do to fix it. Do I need to replace my alternator or just the individual sensors. Please help! Codes it’s throwing are attached.

I wouldn't go replacing anything just yet until you get a real scan going. Meaning VAGCOM or OBDeleven.

You say you have these codes, but do you have CELs on the dash? Also how is the car running?

You can measure voltage coming off the alternator but it is doubtful there is anything wrong with it unless you're getting other symptoms like constant dead battery and dimming lights while driving.

A) What if anything did you do to the car before this? Or did they just show up?

B) As Joe stated, is the dash CEL on? Should be if the O2 is throwing errors.

C) Did you clear the codes and did they come back?

I do not have CEL on my dash and the car seems to be running just fine. Whenever I clear the codes they come back immediately when I turn the car back on.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a dash light appear or the car starts running poorly.

You shouldn't freak out about the codes those generic scanners throw. You really need a proper scan tool to see actual faults but since you have no CELs and car runs fine I'd imagine everything is running within spec.

+1

If you had a bad O2 sensor, you WOULD have a CEL on the dash.

If you had no CEL why did you scan?
Quarantine is boring as hell. Cant even tell you how many times I've taken my computer apart and rebuilt it.

None of those codes suggest you have a bad alternator so I'm not sure where you got that idea but dont go that route.

Those are all o2 sensor related codes. Sensor 1 is at the turbo, sensor 2 before the cat , sensor 3 is post cat. So codes are telling you o2 sensors before AND after cat are both potentially bad. That or a short somewhere in the wiring are really the only things it could be.

If you have codes for sensor 3 then I assume you are CBFA.
If you are CBFA then I assume you are PZEV. (Most likely, check sticker near engine bay)
If you are PZEV then I assume you dont know that you have a 10yr/150k emissions warranty.
Or that all 3 o2 sensors fall under that warranty.

If all of the above are true, then stop what your doing, go call the dealer and get yoo shit fixed for free.
Your welcome..

I will collect my fee now..😜
