How did you go about painting the red strips white in the grille? You removed and painted? Plasti dip? After market?

Guessing its a (euro) GTD grill which has silver stripes, with a GTI badge.

Also it’s not too difficult to paint the grille stripes. Currently I’ve got mine plasti dipped white and I didn’t bother prying the pieces out. But it’s looking a bit faded so I’m going to attempt to pry them out sand and paint white.

Removed the stripes from the grill and delivered them to the painter He did the rest

I thought about doing this, but I try and stay away from plasti dip if I can. I think I might do it and then see how I like it and go from there.

I love the way this looks. I recently had my grille off to replace the VW badge and saw how I can take off the red strips. I just wasn't sure if you had yours painted or went about it another way. Thanks!
