Im going to the quarter mile for the 1st time. I was wondering what RPMs should i launch at? Il list my mods below.

First time taking the GTI to the track, my old Renault was running faster times but was 900kg (1990lbs).

Ran 14.446 @ 102.639mph

Track conditions were damp buy beginning to dry @ 10°C

1) 2009 5dr GTI

3) OEM Monza Shadow wheels with Pilot sport 4 225/40/18
4) Full weight with 1/2 tank fuel
5) 98 RON Shell V-Power (UK spec)
6) "Quantum Tuning" OTS stage 1

7) Jurby Autodrome (Isle of Man), the only track with rebar concrete launch pads apart form Santa Pod in GB

Update: Now have 3" downpipe and Stratified Cobb map.

BEst run of the day was 14.14 @ 102 mph

12.0 1/4 mile then totaled my car wheels and slicks for sale

I’m trying to upload the time slips and video but I am technically challenged. However after three years of trying for an 11 I manage to a 12.0. All I had to do was lower my tire pressure because apparently it was way too high and I would’ve been deep in to the 11’s. I was about to do so but it was the end of the day.

I have the following for sale to fellow GTI drag racers:

2x Hoosier DR2. 225 50 16. On Ruffino 16x8 rims. Used. Lots of burnouts left on them.
$400 canadian

2x Bogart D10. 15x8.25. Custom made for GTI. Mk5, 6, 7, non power pack. Extremely light. Amazing drag wheels wrapped in M&H Racemaster 24.5x8.5x15 Slicks. Used once ��. Rims were 1300, tires 700. Will separate.
$1200 Canadian

My local track has shitty prep.
You will cut well over 2 second (2.3-2.5) 60’ on street tires
The Hoosiers will be 1.9-2.0
Bogart’s with m&h slicks I was cutting 1.7’s with too much tire pressure.
