Hello everyone ,
I recently noticed that I have an oil on the top part of the engine and near the turbo. I need to mention that recently The intake valve the head gasket and timing belt were all replaced around 5K ago. after the last oil change I noticed this oil leak and now 3K after the oil change the car approximately lost around 2 liters of oil. These photos I found them on different forum, and unfortunately there was no answer of what was the problem. However, the leak is exactly the same .

My initial thought is PCV since it’s a known failure part that causes oil loss and the intake tract top the valve cover can be oily.

That is the first thing i thought about too. I dropped it at the mechanic today, tomorrow he will call with the verdict, hopefully it is just the PCV . these are photos from my car

Looks like it could be a few sources but PCV, valve cover and timing chain cover would be my first places to look.

So today the mechanic called and said that the leak is coming from the rear seal, he said he has to replace it and he also recommended changing the PCV as well. he said it is always recommended to change the PCV when changing the rear seal. HE said it would cost around $1,000 all together. I don't know if that's a fair price or no .

Well a failed PCV can cause the rear seal to go bad so the issues can be related.

Make sure he uses the updated RMS part and updated PCV. If that includes parts and labor that is not too bad. To replace the rear seal the transmission needs to be dropped which takes some time. You can always call other shops/dealer and get a quote to compare.
